This morning we had a briefing with Phil. He had prepared a presentation which made it clear to us just how important web is as well as print. He had found that in our web crits we hadn't been as prepared as we should do, and wants to make sure that we move forward in the right direction where web is concerned. I wrote down a few key points during the presentation although I am aware that the presentation is also available to us.
- Print and web share the same restrictions
- Both mediums are interactive in different ways
- Equally as powerful as each other
- Breaking down websites is more simplified than breaking down print
- A layout that moves the eye in the right direction
- Good web design is not overly complex
After this we were then told how the crit was going to work. This is something I will be explaining on a separate post.
